This is so freakin' awesome! Especially when I think of it in terms of the adjectival definitions. The last time I thought of the concept of a "portal" was in college when I found a book that had instructions to build a working interdimensional portal involving stones, wood, crystals, and some sort of metal conductor, I think. I wish we would have built it, but we were pretty "lazy" in those days, and sat around ruminating about how awesome it would be. Thanks for that trip down memory lane. I love that this piece evoked such complex reactions in my head and my heart. :)
I love all the books you're using - very cool!

ReplyDeleteKim, I'm actually doing everything in the same book. It's starting to look pretty worn!
ReplyDeleteJim, now I want to build a time portal that actually works!
